Oh, this was QUITE good. I got this a few weeks ago from the GoodReads First Reads program. I'm sad that I didn't read it sooner! Great protagonist, twists and turns in the plot which I did not see coming, plus dragons and cool horses and humor. It is a middle grade book, so it's kid-friendly, but it is definitely not dumbed down.I'm glad I got a chance to read this. If my boys were a little younger, I'd try to talk them into it, but I will find another young reader that I think will enjoy this.I'm also looking forward to reading The Princess Curse, and hope this author writes MORE!
