Leviathan Wakes: Book One of the Expanse series
I am trying to read all of the Hugo nominees, and while I had a bit of trouble getting in to this one, I'm glad I stuck with it. It's a space opera, but it didn't get bogged down too badly in describing technology -- it described enough to be interesting, but not so much that I started skimming out of boredom. Some of it was a little too contrived or coincidental, but not enough that it stopped me from enjoying it.Not an all time favorite, but definitely enjoyed reading it.
